JIM'S AMAZING BREAD

JIM'S AMAZING BREAD made with whole cell wheat

Baked Goods: Valentine, Bread, Dairy Free, Nut Free, Soy Free, Whole Grain

This bread was inspired by Jim's daughter. After she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, he tested all kinds of ingredients that would make an ALL-NATURAL and GREAT TASTING BREAD that was also DIGESTION -FRIENDLY. We use gently crushed wheat milled in such a way that the gluten cells are not activated. That's what makes it AMAZING. Not only does this whole cell wheat make a delicious bread, but folks have remarked how Jim's Amazing Bread fits into their gluten-sensitive diets, helped maintain their blood sugar levels and solved their leaky gut issues. This amazing bread is made with only six ingredients and you can easily pronounce each one. The real magic comes from the whole cell wheat. Because the wheat cells are left intact, our wheat doesn't release the proteins that would otherwise become gluten. Our bread's not gluten free, but it does reduce the likelihood of gluten-related inflammation. But there's even more... Only six all-natural ingredients: whole cell wheat, water, honey, flax, salt and yeast. No additives, chemicals or preservatives, average weight = 2 pounds, up to 21-day shelf life. Made by a family-owned business. *While Jim's Amazing Bread had wonderful results for my daughter as part of the diet prescribed after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, you should always consult with your own physician about the diet that's best for you. This bread is currently undergoing testing by food scientists to validate the positive health results many customers have experienced.USA / Indiana / Marion County

Q: I am on a Keto Diet plan. Would love to try your bread if you could in or patr some ingredients to lower the net carbs to about 3 per slice.

A: Thank you for your interest. We understand the Keto Diet as we have been on it ourselves. However, we do not anticipate changing our unique recipe at this time.

Q: This bread is awesome and Hugh! Great taste toasted. Will the shelf life be longer if I store it in the fridge as oppose to counter top? Also, I only order ever two or three weeks, will the 1.00 coupon you sent me be valid then? Thanks again for a great product.

A: Thanks for asking. I'm glad you enjoyed the bread. You can definitely put the bread in the fridge to prolong the life which I suggest doing in the heat of summer. It can also be frozen without problem. The coupon is only good through August 4th. Thank you for being a customer.

Q: This bread tastes great! I'm only one person; any chance of making half loaves/one pound loaves? Post frozen bread has a funny after taste to me, I would like not to freeze it if possible. Just hoping...Thanks!

A: Thank you for your kind words. We currently do not have plans to make half loaves. You can extend the shelf life by keeping the bread in the refrigerator. Or many customers have frozen our bread without reporting a freezer taste. Makes one wonder if the chemical/preservatives in other breads may cause that after taste.

Q: Do you know if the wheat was treated with Roundup in the field to dry faster?

A: Thank you for asking. This is a NON-GMO wheat. While the wheat and flax are raised according to organic standards, they are not officially organic because the farmers who raised them do not want to pay the annual fee that the government requires to certify the organic label. Also, no chemicals, preservatives, or additives are added to the bread.

Q: I live in Columbus, OH and I really want to buy Jim's Amazing GF bread. I tried doing this last week and this week, with no success. Can you help?

A: If you are wanting delivery on Tuesday, we are only available in your area for Thursday delivery. If that is not the problem, please submit the issue on the form at marketwagon.com/problem and they will help you. FYI-our bread is not gluten free. People with gluten issues have eaten it without any problems but we can not call it GF. Thanks for reaching out to solve your problem and we hope you enjoy the bread.

Q: Does it have kernels or whole seeds in it or is it smooth to chew

A: Thank you for asking this question. The wheat & flax used in our recipe are gently crushed. The texture is more coarse than some other breads but not crunchy. We hope you enjoy it.

August 26th, 2020 person_outline Karen J.
Q: I really like your bread. I thas a good texture and flavor. I was wondering if you might make this without the flax? I do not eat flax due to the effect it has on the body hormonally.

A: Thank you for your question. We only have one product at this time and flax is one of the 6 ingredients. Although there is controversy around flax's affect on hormones because it has a type of phytoestrogen, flax does provide fiber, protein, & Omega 3 to the diet.

Q: Loving this bread! It make a perfect anchor for avacado toast! Will it freeze and maintain the nutrition?

A: Avocado toast is a favorite of mine. This bread freezes well without losing taste or nutrition.

Q: I have enjoyed this bread. I did have a touch of mold, however, I keep it in my refrigerator and I've had no issues. It has a good flavor as well.

A: We are truly sorry for your inconvenience. Wondering if the tote or bread sat in direct sunlight for an extended period. Our entire team is always striving to produce an excellent product for our customers. Thank you for letting us know about this issue.

July 15th, 2020 person_outline Beth F.
Q: Hello! Do you use sugar to feed the yeast? If not, what are you using to feed the yeast in your breads?

A: Thanks for asking. The only sweetner we use in our whole cell wheat bread is honey.

Q: LOVE this bread!! So glad to be able to buy it again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

A: We are so glad you enjoy the bread. You keep consuming and we'll keep baking.

Q: First, we love this bread. However, the loaf I got in my February 6th order, which is dated February 3rd, has already molded and about 1/3 of it has been thrown away. I thought I read recently that you had taken steps to extend its shelf life? With just two of us, and for the price, we really need it to last longer than 2 weeks.

A: Thank you for letting us know of your problem. We will resolve this. Our bread has no preservatives or chemicals. Certain conditions can decrease the shelf life. We recommend not having it in the direct sunlight or near other heat source. You might also consider freezing half a loaf or putting it all in the refrigerator to extend the life which has proven to be successful. Thank you for your continued support.

June 26th, 2020 person_outline DeeDee P.
Q: Would you consider making whole wheat or multigrain whole cell bread?

A: Thank you for your question. To clarify a little about our product, I would like to first say that though our bread is light in color, it is not a white bread. Most commercially made white breads are produced using heavily processed and bleached flour. Our bread is not made this way. Our flour is made by gently crushing the grains of wheat while keeping each cell in the grain intact/whole thus "whole cell". Since we use the entire wheat grain, our bread is already a whole wheat bread. Our recipe includes flax as well as wheat, so technically, it is a multi-grain bread. We have plans in the works to bring new products to market.

Q: What is the nutrition info per slice?

A: Calories 160, total fat 2G, Cholesterol 0mg, Sodium 280mg, total carbohydrate 28G, dietary fiber 5G, total sugars 5G, protein 6G, Calcium 20mg, iron 1mg, potassium 175mg per slice.

Q: Like your other customers, I noticed mold on my loaf starting today. I didn’t noticed until I put the load away so I surely ingested it, eww. I really like it the first time I ordered it, so how do I know it won’t go bad again?

A: We apologize for the moldy bread. We have taken steps in the past to correct the issue and have just implemented more to combat the mold. Please let us know if you have any further issues. Thanks for your patience and your continued support as we work through this problem.

June 9th, 2020 person_outline Jenifer R.
Q: I also have ordered your bread many times in the past and the loaf I got last week (label states it was made on 9/3) and it was molded by 9/12... usually I get 2-3 weeks out of it. Personally I wonder about the new bags you use; they don’t feel as breathable as the old bread bag.

A: Thank you for letting us know. 9/3 was not a good baking day. We have taken multiple steps to correct the mold problem. We appreciate you being such a loyal customer. Please let us know if you ever have any future concerns.

June 2nd, 2020 person_outline Sara H.
Q: I’ve ordered this bread once before. This second time it got moldy really quickly and had 7 slices to throw away. I stored a t the same as previously. I really like this bread but if I’m going to throw 5$ of it away it’s not worth it. How do you suggest storing it? Was there a recipe mistake? It seemed denser than the first order. Please let me know

A: Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. This is the first we are aware of any problems. Even though this bread typically has a 3 week shelf life, make certain it is not setting in direct sunlight. It can always be refrigerated for weeks or frozen for 12 months. WE WILL GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED. We are very sorry for your unfortunate experience.

June 2nd, 2020 person_outline Vanessa S.
Q: I LOVE your bread!!

A: Thank you so much!

May 28th, 2020 person_outline Beth L.
Q: Just wanted to tell you that I LOVE this bread as well!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make it available!!

A: Thank you for the kind words. Our motivation is to provide delicious healthy bread that can be eaten by those, including some family members, who can not tolerate other breads. Some look at this bread as "their ice cream".

May 28th, 2020 person_outline Barbara O.
Q: is the wheat your use and the other ingredients as well organic?

A: The wheat and flax were certified organic. They still raise it the same but do not get the government label because it's a costly process that requires an annual payment to the government to keep the organic label.

May 25th, 2020 person_outline Amanda C.
Q: How many carbs per slice?

A: 28g of carbs per slice including 5g of fiber. These are complex carbs because the crushed wheat is not refined making it NON-INFLAMMATORY.

May 25th, 2020 person_outline Betty D.
Q: Is this bread ok to eat if I am gluten free?

A: The bread has gluten in it but it remains inactive due to the wheat being gently crushed versus ground. Many people with gluten intolerance have eaten the bread without any issues. See the website for some testimonies.

May 19th, 2020 person_outline Eteka
Q: I love your bread! Do you make any type of buns?

A: We are certainly glad to hear you love the bread. We hear that often. We only have the bread at this point in time. Thanks for asking.

Q: I did some research on this type of bread and found a web site that sells this bread at whole cellared.com. Are you connected with this company. I am trying a loaf. My husband is diabetic and the site said this bread works better for diabetic.

A: Diabetics eat this and some have actually decreased their blood sugar. The bread digests as a complex carbohydrate because the wheat is merely crushed with no additives. Our website is: WholeCellBread.com. We certainly welcome your feedback.

format_quoteWas great bread for a week. Ordered on Thurs, just the two of us. Went to make my husband another sandwich for work this Thursday and bread is moldy. I took pictures. My house is so cold that I wear sweats and a robe when its 80-90 degrees out because my husband likes it cold. Not sure, but didn't think this was normal. Bread dated good until the 29th and it's the 17th.format_quote

format_quoteI absolutely love this bread. I've tried all kinds of "better for you breads" only to be disappointed in the taste, so I was a bit skeptical. But this bread is amazing! It tastes good, the texture isn't yucky, and the large slices make for really good sandwiches. format_quote

format_quoteJim's bread tastes great! I had no stomach issues while eating this bread which is the whole reason this bread was created in the first place! It is denser then regular shelf bread, but not so heavy and dense as some breads can be, but this is not. Only downside for me is the loaf is quite large for one person, but I think a family would have no problems getting through the loaf before shelf life ends. I do not like the taste of post frozen bread, not sure if it soaks in other smells in the freezer or what happens, for me frozen bread had always has some type of after taste so I don't freeze bread. Hoping for a smaller loaf.format_quote

format_quoteThis is simply outstanding. I wish it were not so expensive. I will plan to buy it from time to time as a treat. It is an excellent balance between soft and hearty. The flavor is nutty and delicious and I was impressed that it has only 6 ingredients. It's better than Great Harvest bread which I enjoy. format_quoteI love this bread. Tastes just the way you’d expect from homemade bread. So why the just average review? Because this week when I picked it up from the market host (7 May) the loaf was over two weeks old!! It was made on 20 April I know it has a long shelf life and can be frozen, but two week old bread doesn’t warrant an excellent rating despite its (currently) fresh taste. Is this normal?format_quote

format_quoteI’ve seen this bread on Market Wagon for a year and a half and not ordered it. How could it be $9 worth of good? I finally ordered it, and I don’t know why it’s that good - I think magic. I love this bread more than any bread I have ever eaten. Sometimes bread has an after effect on me that I can’t really explain - sort of a heaviness? An I wish I hadn’t eaten that feeling. Not this. I have no idea, but it is delicious as toast or a sandwich. I usually don’t like presliced bread, but this is thin enough, it’s just right. Wonderful.format_quote

format_quoteI was skeptic of how the bread would taste and, of course, the price as well, but I was impressed. I had some toast with butter and jam on it, which tasted amazing. Then on another, I've topped it with scrambled eggs, mix veggies, bacon bits, and sausage, which, of course, tasted amazing. (My girlfriend is a good cook, or I buy her excellent stuff :) ). I notice a different texture taste than standard loaves of bread I buy from the store, but I'm okay with it. Also, the bread came pre-sliced, which is nice. So far, bread is tasting good, would recommend to others if they are wanting to try something different then, and would purchase again. It sounds like a good choice for healthy bread, so I'm excited about that as well.format_quote
